Saint Willibrord's Church

Monumental and eye-catching neo-Gothic church built by the architects L. and H. Blomme. Also the interior is particular with its triforium that runs round the entire building. Works of art: among others a 15 century statue of Our Lady with a bunch of grapes, a painting by P.P. Rubens with SaintThis is a title that the Church bestows on a deceased person who has lived a particularly righteous and faithful life. In the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Church, saints may be venerated (not worshipped). Several saints are also martyrs. Willibrord as the main character and four unique votive paintings. Stained- glass windows by the most famous stained-glass artists: Stalins & Janssens, Dobbelaere, Eugeen Yoors and some in the tradition of de Bethune.
