Guided tours for individuals

If you opt for an adventure, you explore the church on your own, with the flyer at the entrance as a compass or armed with a thorough art guide (see Publications).

But if you still want to see the forest through the trees and enjoy its beauty more intensely, you can take advantage of our offer of free guided tours. A TOPA guide will take you on a discovery without any obligation. To your own surprise, you will often see much more … than what you saw at first sight.

The concrete possibilities in the five tourist churches of Antwerp-Centre can be found via the following links:

Our Lady’s Cathedral

Saint Andrew’s Church

Saint Carolus Borromeo’s Church

Saint James’s Church

Saint Paul’s Church

The Antwerp Monumental Churches organization developed a number of activities to accompany the city cultural festival “Antwerp Baroque 2018: Rubens Inspires”, which explored the work of Peter Paul Rubens (1577–1640) and the heritage of the Baroque. Since then several activities including a walk ‘In Rubens’ Footsteps’  have enhanced the permanent offering at the five monumental churches. All details can be found on the MKA website.
