Cathedral, the largest Gothic church in the Low Countries. It was finished in 1521 concluding a construction period of nearly 170 years. Its northern tower (123m \/ 404ft) is \u2018stone lacework\u2019 and it dominates the skyline. Inside the seemingly unlimited space takes you into a different dimension.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What we see today is partly Baroque, partly 19th\u00a0century neo-Gothic. We can admire four works by Peter Paul Rubens, including\u00a0<strong><em>The Raising of the Cross<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><em>The Descent from the Cross<\/em><\/strong>, which are world renowned cultural heritage.
